?The **MEAL Coordinator** is responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning systems of AVSI Jordan’s programmes. ?The **MEAL Coordinator** is responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning systems of AVSI Jordan’s programmes. The role ensures the quality, accuracy and timeliness of data collection and reporting across all ongoing projects, strengthens accountability mechanisms towards affected populations, and supports organisational learning through the systematic documentation of good practices and lessons learnt. The **MEAL Coordinator** works in close coordination with the Head of Programs, Project Managers and the Regional MEAL Advisor.
1. Contributing to the overall donor’s decarbonization targets through the generation of carbon credits by virtue of the utilization of SALM method. All credits generated will be registered and certified according to the highest standards provided by Verra, one of the most important international registries operating in the voluntary carbon market, such as VCS (Verified Ca rbon Standard) and SD Vista (Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard).
2. Promote local development through the reduction of deforestation and forest degradation avoiding carbon emissions with preserving and protecting biodiversity in Mozambique.

?**Main tasks and responsibilities:**
In collaboration with the Head of Programs and Project Managers, and in coordination with the regional office, establish a reliable and consistent set of outcomes and outputs indicators for all programme activities and new calls for proposals; supervise the development of monitoring and evaluation plans in line with project logical frameworks; provide M&E support to partner organisations through capacity building workshops; support the elaboration and update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines; manage the database and software (Activity Info) in coordination with the Regional MEAL Advisor; prepare after-action reviews; ensure timely compilation of internal and external progress and final reports; share challenges, good practices, feedback and lessons learnt from the field; supervise and guide AVSI Jordan MEAL staff; coordinate field visits by M&E officers/assistants/IMOs to verify data quality and accuracy; supervise the Feedback, Complaint and Response Mechanism; provide reporting for donors, authorities and coordinating agencies (e.g. JRP reporting on Activity Info); comply with all AVSI policies and procedures, in particular the General Procedure on Accountability towards affected populations.
?**Essential Requirements**
1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study (Master’s degree considered an asset)
2. At least 3 years of professional experience in the MEAL sector within humanitarian and development organisations
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English
? **Other required skills and experiences:**
1. Good knowledge of local context (Jordan and/or MENA region)
2. Good knowledge of Activity Info considered an asset
3. Familiarity with logical frameworks, indicator development and data management tools
